Firenze 1600

Florence knows around 1600 a cultural and creative bubbling which was to be the origin of the solo song, but also of the opera. Caccini, Peri and Cavalieri, members of the Camerata Bardi in Florence, are looking for an expressive ideal modeled on practices now known in Antiquity. All three write a work in recitative style, where music is first and foremost the word, then The rhythm, and finally the sound. The Belgian ensemble Scherzi Musicali proposes to revisit this universe, crossing the Pellegrina, the Representatione di Anima e di Corpo and the two versions of L'Euridice, including that of Caccini recorded by Scherzi Musicali as world premiere and unanimously hailed and rewarded by the International press.
