Morte & Vita

In this new program, Scherzi Musicali brings you to an Arcadian salon in the eighteenth century. The composers, freed from the constraints of the opera world, were able to express their latest poetic and musical audacities in the form of miniature cantatas: poignant theatre of fallen loves and conflicting feelings, set to music by Handel and Scarlatti, but also Amadei and Amendola whose music is worth a visit.
